Welcome to the panic factory - Simon Rozendaal
Food for a robust climate discussion. Yes, the earth is warming and yes, that is most likely due to human actions. However, it is all exaggerated, says Simon Rozendaal in Welcome to the Panic Factory .
In his book he explains why air pollution has virtually disappeared in the Netherlands, is amazed by 'poison-free cognac', explains his love for hops and waxwings, points out that sun and wind are free, but not cheap, that climate refugees are a fabrication, that the polar bear is doing well and that going away from natural gas is the stupidest thing a country can do in energy transition. Well, even stupider is what Germany wants: to say goodbye to the atom.
In short, are you looking for facts and arguments for a robust discussion about all climate measures? You will find them in this book.
Simon Rozendaal (1951) studied chemistry at TU Delft and has been writing about science for NRC Handelsblad and EW for more than forty years. He presented science programs on television and wrote about 25 books. Rozendaal was already a progress optimist and eco-modernist before those terms had yet been coined.
