Scheepspraet - Piet Bakker

The 1947 guide was written by EW editor Piet Bakker (author of Ciske de Rat, among others) and beautifully illustrated by EW illustrator Eppo Doeve. The title is: Scheepspraet , being a travel description with numerous facts and useful tips for the benefit of the Dutch soldiers who sail to the Indies. This reissue will bring back many memories for the soldiers who traveled to the Dutch East Indies at the time. Using this guide, their children and grandchildren can experience what it must have been like to be deployed as a soldier by ship sixty years ago.
