Economics lecture 2024 - Michiel Muller

This book contains the extensive and annotated text of the EW Economics lecture that Michiel Muller gave on April 23 in Hal4 aan de Maas in Rotterdam.

Muller is the founder and CEO of online supermarket Picnic. Before he shook up the supermarket world ten years ago, he broke the ANWB monopoly on roadside assistance with Route Mobile and started the unmanned gas station chain Tango.

In his lecture he will discuss the future revenue model of the Netherlands, which is increasingly coming under pressure. Do tech companies like Picnic get enough room to grow?
