The retrospective of the past cycling season coincides with a special milestone; the 2024 Annual Review is the hundredth edition of Procycling. And that at the end of a memorable cycling season. Mathieu van der Poel triumphed in the rainbow jersey in both the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix, while Remco Evenepoel became the first male rider to win Olympic gold in both the time trial and the road race at the same Games. But the absolute star was of course Tadej Pogačar, who won both the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France. Procycling travelled to Italy in mid-October and saw the Slovenian make history in the Tour of Lombardy by becoming the first rider ever to win two Grand Tours, two Monuments and the World Championship in the same calendar year.

In addition to this report on the superstar of the peloton, there are interviews with Charlotte Kool and Frank van den Broek of Team dsm-firmenich PostNL, who both had a first dream day in the Tour de France. As well as with Bart Lemmen of Visma | Lease a Bike and team leader Frans Maassen, who talks openly about the terrible fall and the admirable comeback of leader Jonas Vingegaard. The performances of all World Tour teams are also traditionally examined in De Afrekening.

An anniversary should not pass unnoticed and so there is also plenty of attention for the past seventeen years in which Procycling has been published. Including a selection of the most beautiful covers and exclusive interviews with the retiring Robert Gesink, for many years the standard-bearer of Dutch cycling, and sprint great Mark Cavendish, who last summer crowned his career by conquering his 35th stage victory in the Tour and breaking Eddy Merckx's record.
