It remains a recurring problem, the chronic shortage of parking spaces. By 2023, this will have risen to a shortage of 4,400 places. It is not surprising that this leads to unpleasant situations, such as overcrowded car parks and exit lanes at pumping stations and even emergency lanes. Not to mention safety in these kinds of places. What became of Rijkswaterstaat's promise in 2018 - hundreds of additional guarded parking spaces in five years? Not too much, it turns out.

Marcel Willemsen has no shortage of parking space or actually space in general. To his great pleasure, he has been living and working in Norway for fourteen years. We visited him in his new homeland. 77-year-old Ton de Heus had less fun when he had to stay at home due to the restrictive corona measures and became depressed. Employer Melis came up with a new position for Ton: atmosphere and style manager. A position that was tailor-made for Ton and put a smile back on his face.
