Contents of this online training

Love and attachment

The first session of a total of five sessions. The core of this first session is love, love, love. In other words, love. What is love? What does it mean to you? And what do the concepts of 'emotional connection' and 'responsiveness' have to do with love? A little hint: everything! You will complete the exercises that go with each session independently. Afterwards, you will discuss them together. Do you want to know more? In each session, you will find in-depth material in the library.

Our pattern
This session is about your recurring pattern. What behavior do you show when things aren't going well in your relationship? What patterns (or devilish dialogues) do you end up in together? And more importantly: what emotions, needs and fears are underneath? Gaining insight into these patterns does wonders for your relationship. You will also become acquainted with the concept of ' window of tolerance '.

The Hold Me Tight Conversation

In previous sessions you learned how to recognize devilish dialogues and most importantly: stop them. So what now? In this session you will learn how to create an open and connecting dialogue with your partner. That already sounds a lot better than a devilish dialogue, right?

Sexuality and intimacy

The fourth session is about emotional connection and good sex. These two belong together like two sides of a coin. Safe, emotional connection leads to good sex and good sex leads to deeper emotional connection. In this session we talk about 'safe synchronous sex' and you do some research yourself.

Keeping love alive

Keeping love alive and staying emotionally connected to your partner is like a language that you have to keep practicing. How do you do that? In this final session you will learn everything about rituals and avoiding danger zones. Regularly having Hold Me Tight conversations will also be included in this session. You will learn how to maintain the positive changes and prevent a possible next crisis.

Invest together in the quality of your relationship

  • Really seeing and understanding each other
  • Recognizing and breaking argument patterns
  • How to keep finding each other, even when life demands a lot
  • Listening to each other without immediately jumping into solution mode
  • How to Let Go of Painful Moments from the Past
  • How other couples deal with similar relationship problems

This training is for you because...

  • …working on your relationship is like personal development, but with two people. Together you can immediately set a new pattern that works for both partners.
  • …you learn together how to deal with old pain or baggage from, for example, a previous relationship.
  • …the impact of major life events, such as the arrival of children, illness or unemployment on your relationship will be reduced if you know how to stay connected with each other.
  • …it becomes easier to tackle obstacles together when they arise if you invest (prevention) in the relationship
  • …you don't have to be good at deep conversations for this relationship training (yet). Together you will discover in an accessible way how communication works best within your relationship.

One couple has lost the spark in their relationship after 30 years, while another couple has only just gotten together and wants to deepen their bond. There are many reasons why people choose relationship training based on the proven effective Emotionally Focused Therapy. But all with the same end result: a deepened bond.
