Contents of this online training

What is mindful eating?
What can mindful eating bring you? Is mindful eating a diet? And: how mindful are you already eating? In this first session you will receive answers to these questions.

Really enjoy your food
In this session you will discover how you can enjoy your food more through mindfulness. Because: enjoying more leads to eating less.

Get to know your body
For a healthy lifestyle it is important to restore contact with your body. Physical signals are the best advisors in taking good care of yourself.

Seven types of hunger
There are at least seven types of hunger, or seven types of triggers to eat. Getting to know these can help you make more conscious eating choices.

Learn to pause
In this session you will learn how to slow down your eating pace. If you eat slowly, you increase the chance that you will receive the signal that you are satisfied in time.

Know your eating patterns
You have investigated how the seven types of hunger influence your eating behavior. In this session we will see what you noticed. Can any patterns be recognised?

Letting go of your beliefs
Books have been written about which foods are good or bad for you. And your parents also taught you how to handle food. This way you let go of all those rules and follow your own path.

Avoid mindless eating
You identify which things cause you to unconsciously eat more, and then use them to eat less without having to put in any extra effort.

Dealing with emotional eating
Psychologist Greta Noordenbos explains what emotional eating means and why we so often reach for food when we are actually tired, sad, bored, insecure or angry.

With a strong urge to eat
What can you do if you are overcome by a strong urge to eat? You will learn it in this session.

Non-ideal conditions
How do you eat attentively with three small children at the table, in a hurry in the morning, or during an intensive conversation at a business dinner? Map your own difficult situations.

Continue to eat mindfully
Many aspects of your relationship with food have been discussed. Now it's time to reflect on what you have learned, and how you can continue to eat mindfully after this training.
