Contents of this online training

Do you accept yourself?

In this first session you will be given everything to make the training a success and you will explore how difficult you find it to accept yourself as you are. You will also meet the expert who will guide you during this training, psychologist Marjon Bohré.

Connect with others

Can you be yourself in your relationship with your partner, colleagues or friends? Are you able to ask for help? And: which people give you energy? In this session you will examine your relationships.

Connect with yourself

In this session you will get to know yourself better. What are your strengths, according to yourself and according to others? What gives you energy?

When do you let yourself down?

At work, with our parents-in-law, even among friends, we sometimes go to great lengths to be accepted . Why do we actually do that?

Vulnerability

One of the things that keeps us from self-acceptance is vulnerability. In this session we explain how the two are related.

How do you protect yourself?

In the previous session you discovered that we find vulnerability uncomfortable and prefer not to feel it. We try to protect ourselves from that uncomfortable feeling. In this session you will investigate how to do that.

Perfectionism

Have you managed to share your vulnerability with someone since the previous session? What was that like for you? You are already well on your way to self-acceptance. In this session we will talk about perfectionism.

Ideal pictures

How did you go about letting go of perfectionism? Have you been able to discover which areas you have this tendency? In this session we will work on another obstacle to accepting yourself: ideal images and perfect pictures.

Knowing what you find important

In this session we return to the theme of connecting with yourself. You will learn practical skills to continually find that connection and make it stronger.

Choose yourself

Living according to your values is not always easy. Old habits die hard and we are often overtaken by the hustle and bustle of the day. Moreover, it takes courage to stand up for your own values. That is why this session contains a number of practical skills that you can use to organize your life more in line with your values.

Dealing with emotions

Shame, guilt, anger: not all emotions are positive and that is why we often try to keep them under control. As if they aren't there. But emotions are part of us. So accepting them is necessary if you want to accept yourself completely. This session is about how to deal with difficult emotions.

Define borders

How do you take good care of yourself in your relationship with someone else? That's what this session is about. You will learn what healthy boundaries are for you, how to let others know clearly and kindly where your boundaries are and what you can do if they do go beyond them.

Empathy and (self)compassion

How can you connect with others without losing yourself? We will go into this in more detail in this session. You will also learn how (self) compassion can help you take care of yourself and others.

Closing

Today you will complete this training on self-acceptance. In this final session we look again at all the lessons we have learned. And we look ahead to how you can retain everything you have learned and continue to apply it in your daily life.

Let go of your perfectionism

  • Learn to accept yourself, even your less pleasant sides
  • Deal better with situations in which you feel vulnerable
  • Take good care of yourself and set healthy boundaries
  • See yourself and really connect
  • Be less guided by expectations

The book The courage of imperfection worth € 20.99

In The Courage of Imperfection, Brené Brown describes how courage, compassion and connection can take on an important place in your life. Based on her years of study, she came up with ten statements about a 'spirited life': living from the feeling that you are worthwhile. In her own honest, warm and funny way, she encourages the reader to let go of perfectionism, to let go of stress as a lifestyle, to trust intuition and to give space to creativity. This book is about the lifelong journey of 'What will others think?' to 'I am good enough'.
