Free yourself from old pain
Everyone suffers mental damage in life. Maybe you received little love and attention, were excluded, bullied, underestimated or criticized. You carry that old pain with you and it still determines your behavior and the choices you make. You can also 'suddenly' feel angry, anxious or lonely because of old pain. In this training you will work with psychologist Arthur Menko on your pain, which will help you experience more inner peace, self-confidence and freedom.

In the introductory session, you take the first step in dealing with the pain you still carry with you. You will meet the expert, who will tell you what this training will bring you, and you will delve deeper into what you want to achieve with this training.
Old Pain – What Is It For You?
Bad experiences from long ago can leave such deep scars that they still bother you today. And did you know that some of your pain can also come from future generations? You will learn why bad experiences leave traces and how old pain arose in you. You will also gain insight into the pain you have inherited from your family.
Recognize your triggers – and tackle them early
Do you sometimes suddenly feel hurt, attacked or lonely? There is a big chance that your old pain is touched at such a moment. You learn to recognize your triggers, so that they will not suddenly overtake you.
What do you do to feel better?
Almost everyone is good at it: ignoring difficult emotions. Not that it makes things better, but it does allow you to continue with your life. In the meantime, we twist ourselves into the craziest positions, which is why we are still occupied with it. But it can be done differently! You will gain insight into your coping styles and how you can change them - when they are outdated.
Allow and accept your feelings
Time to really get to work on your pain. You will learn what the process of processing can look like and immediately take the first step with focusing: a technique that makes you feel better.
Rewrite your memories
Painful memories can prevent you from growing further. In this session you will distance yourself from the story about your old pain that you used to tell yourself. Rewriting that story ensures that you will take a big step further in the processing.
Talk about it!
You may think this topic is obvious. But talking about your old pain can help tremendously in the healing process. In more ways than you might think at first. It is the crucial final step in the process of going through the old pain.
Time for reflection
Finally, you look back on what you have achieved. Arthur also has some important advice for you and, as promised, you will also receive a few nice extras!
